How Can severe Stomach Bloating Along With Gastritis Be Treated?

I have bloating, some gas, but more importantly both frequency and urgency to urinate. I came back from a trip and thought I had contracted a UTI. I took an antibiotic although the culture came back negative. I felt somewhat better on the antibiotic. I had an IBS episode while on the trip and felt that gi pressure was causing the frequent urinating. That seems cleared up. My MD put me on vesicare but no improvement. I have taken Levbid on and off for about one week. Suggestions?

Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Coming back from a trip somewhere else and getting bloating, gases and frequency of urination along with urgency indicate that you are suffering from both the problems of UTI as well as intestinal infection.
Although the urine culture is negative, the frequency and urgency indicate a problem and even a single dose of any antibiotic can turn the reports of urine culture into negative as per the character of an antibiotic.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Continue Vesicare and Levbid to complete the course.
Also add-on a PPI like Omeprazole, Activated charcoal, medications for IBS, control of stress and anxiety.
Identify the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems.
Take plenty of oral fluids.
Boiled and cooled water.
Fresh home-food and small frequent meals.
Continue the medications as advised and go for Specialists opinion and further investigations and treatment as needed.
